Here are three views of the election from today’s (4 November 2010) Washington Post.  George Will’s view is smarmy and seeks to paint the democrats as stupid; Kathleen Parker’s nails the democrats essential problem; assuming that 2008 was a mandate for radical change rather than a cry by the people for governance, and lastly David Broder who as usual has great insight into the nature of politics and the election who sees the essential problem as being “What began as a sound economic stimulus, along with health-care and energy bills, became a swollen expensive and ineffective legislative monstrosity.”
