According to the web site Gavel to Gavel a number of states have introduced bills which prohibited the use of foreign or international law as a basis for court decisions?
I have a couple of questions.
Would this preclude the use of English Common Law as a basis for court decisions?
Would this preclude the mention or referring to the Magna Charta?
Would this preclude the use of the Ten Commandants?
Given that most of the ones who introduce such legislation are depriving a village of an idiot (which is hard to do in Alabama or Mississippi) or are so stupid their hair hurts, we should not be surprised.
